Partners should be advised that their Volume License customers cannot take advantage of their TechNet Plus benefits without completing the below two steps:
With each Volume License Agreement there are designated customer representatives with administrative rights in Microsoft Volume Licensing Services (MVLS). Only those designated administrators may activate and assign TechNet Plus subscriptions included in a Volume License Agreement. Once activated and assigned, each TechNet Plus subscriber will need to authenticate the subscription individually by associating their subscriber ID with a Windows Live ID.
We recommend that Partners assist their customer's administrator with activating the one TechNet Plus Direct license included with each enrollment of Software Assurance.
Designated customer administrators may log onto MVLS and follow the steps under ?TechNet Administration?.
For batches of twenty or more, Microsoft operations centers worldwide will be able to assist with a bulk "batch" activation of TechNet Plus licenses. Click here for the Batch Activation Spreadsheet. Please be advised that this is an informal process to assist with customers that are having problems utilizing MVLS to fulfill these requests, and need large sets of TechNet Plus licenses activated in an expedient manner.
In order to re-direct the information to the proper regional fulfillment center, we ask that you send completed spreadsheets to tnpbatch@microsoft.com
In order to protect the subscriber's privacy, TechNet Plus subscriptions must be authenticated by the individual subscribers themselves and associated with their Windows Live ID. Click here for steps on "How to Authenticate TechNet Plus Subscriptions", so you can assist your customers with this process.
